I finally settled on some paint colors for the downstairs (formal den & dining room) - inspiration from my Christmas quilt (thats not finished, either). I'll be sure to post pictures when I'm done painting - the den is kinda of a pear green, and the foyer and dining room will be a light columbia blue.  My thoughts will be that it will lend itself well to the holiday season (when the rooms get the most use), yet be neutral enough the rest of the year.

The empire strikes back

In recent weeks, we've taken huge steps towards blocking spam accounts on LiveJournal. In fact, we've suspended as many as 30,000 accounts in a single day! We've implemented several pre-emptive measures to prevent the creation of spam accounts, and we've honed our detection of suspicious content. Spam bots are a crafty lot, so we'll continue to refine our tactics and keep up the good fight to keep you safe from spam attacks on LiveJournal.

RSS feeds again

If you're addicted to [info]xkcd_rss, [info]icanhaschzbrgr, or other syndicated feeds, we're pleased to report that we've resolved the update error that was mucking up your RSS feeds. While content was being pulled correctly, it wasn't being posted to the feeds themselves. Late last week, we finally nailed down what we hope was the root problem, so content should post properly. We thank you for your patience.

Magenta Feather Duster

  • Nov. 4th, 2009 at 12:39 PM
Hey guys,
Whilst shopping for something completely different, I happened upon a multi-colored Magenta-style feather duster in the cleaning items department at Dollar Tree. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but the feather colors were yellow, kelly green, orange, hot pink, and royal purple. There was a black plastic cordy-looking thing around the handle but it looked easy enough to remove (as evidenced by the beat-up feather duster on the right). The duster length looked shorter than the ones you used to be able to find in Chinatown-- maybe 22" with about a 7" handle. There were no reddish-brown spiky chicken feathers, but one could easily glue extra feathers onto the existing feathers and wooden base.

As far as I can tell, Dollar Tree appears to be a national chain but this item isn't on their website.

Ive signed so many release forms lately.

  • Nov. 3rd, 2009 at 11:23 PM
Last week I auditioned for the rocky bluray release, it was so much fun. It was crazy hangin out with 2 of my rocky crowds @ the same time.
I went in knowing I wasn't getting it. I am good @ what I do, but don't really look like any of the people in it. I chose to do eddie, because its what I'm best @, and its a comfy costume. Tho my hair was shaved, so I wore a wig. So the main purpose was to have fun, and that I did. I had a great time.
Well....I got a call back. I was honored. I was so pleased. I went back the next day, did a full run thru, and went home. I am now waiting on the results.
Then the next day I went for a photoshoot. It was for a hardcore gay bdsm website. I had so much fun. It was me, the model b4 me (who posed with me as well), the cameraguy, his assistant, and a photostudio. It was very hard, rough, and sexy. Afterwards the forgy was even better. Seriously it was like the best porn I've ever seen, but starring me.
I did another one a week later, where I fisted a very small guy. He was 5'2'' 100 pds. It felt like surgury.
Then today I was filmed for Dr Phil! My job helped out with a Hording family. It was pretty amazing!

Have said the I love NYC yet?

Cause I do

I really do.

Yeah.....never going back to Boston.

Ever.
